The odd one out is 1,000,000 because it is the only number whose sixth root is a whole number. There are several squares and two cubes but only one sixth power in the list.

I think the entire puzzle is a joke: you can find a "unique" characteristic for any chosen number and say "I FOUND THE ANSWER! I WIN!"

The same goes for number sequences, so it's really not about finding a legitimate answer, but the most apt answer. Even that is a philosophical mess, so I'd rather simplify it saying that it's about finding the answer the test-maker was thinking of...yes, I saw your later post, Sloi

I have to say some of these sequences are ridiculous! I have solved numerous sequences(even ones on the prometheus site) and they are not even remotely close to the latest ones I have seen on this site.

Cheers,

Of course the answer is 200, is the only number which is a suitable IQ score for a rational human with the Iq tests of nowadays.

If someone has an Iq test that measures up to 289 without being a fake, I want to do it now. 8)19

One of those numbers has a unique characteristic that others don't. It's easier than you think!

Things like "the biggest prime number under 4" don't count as unique characteristics!

I hope you`re not referring to the shape of the sequence.
